DARE TO BE AN ENEMY!

This is a true story. An army general and his troop arrived on an enemy territory in boats. On arrival the general discovered he and his men were out-numbered by the enemies. Hence, he gave instruction that the boats be burnt. As the boats went up in flames, the general said ‘Now, we cannot go back or run, our alternative will be to either advance and defeat the enemy on his territory or we all die on this island’. As it turned out, The general and his troop fought bravely for their lives defeating their enemies.
For me, the army general defines an enemy of the ordinary. Enemies of the ordinary describe men and women committed to producing unusual or hitherto extra-ordinary results. They dare the norms, often asking questions such as; ‘What Else? Why Not? How Else? Where Else?’ They ask the questions other people are not asking. They will usually not take ‘No or Impossible’ as their final decision.

An enemy of the ordinary believes it can be done! They are willing to research and develop the endless lists of possible solutions. Enemies of the ordinary set the pace with their instinct for creativity. They ask for the alternative solutions even when everyone thinks and agrees that we have the best solution thus far. An enemy of the ordinary is a creative mind on the loose to reverse the order of today’s world. He is not afraid to be different as he consistently seeks possible and valuable solutions to enhance decision and distinction. He engages in imaginative thoughts as he thinks out of the box. He perpetually takes on the perspective that is often ignored or not accepted, just to be able to discover a whole new ideology. He is never afraid of standing alone for he knows the world will eventually follow.
· Are you an enemy of the ordinary?
· Are you inquisitive enough to ask the right questions even after exhausting the list of seeming possibilities?
· Are you open-minded, flexible, but focused in decision-making?
· Are you passionate and excited about possibilities?

I challenge you today to take the position much dread to take on issues. I ask you to question the direction of your life in other to give direction to others.
